New Youth Ministry Advisors
The Youth Ministry Team is thrilled to welcome Grant Firestone and Drew McPheeters as youth ministry advisors for the upcoming program year. Their primary responsibility will be to interact, engage, and develop relationships with Westminster’s middle schoolers.
Grant grew up in Wilmington and has gone to WPC all his life with his mother, Jeanie, and sister, Gracie. Over the years he has been involved in many WPC activities, including Sunshine Choir, Youth Club (he played Jonah in the Chapel Choir musical “Oh Jonah” in 1994), Youth Choir, Youth Fellowship, and Alumni Choir. In May 2010, Grant graduated from Haverford College, where he played lacrosse. He currently lives and works in Wilmington as the legislative assistant to County Council President Tom Kovach. Grant is extremely excited to be able to participate in 180° this year, especially alongside Drew, with whom he has spent all of his years at WPC.
Drew is a long-time member of WPC and has been involved in the Youth Choir, the Heavenly Metal bell choir, Alumni Choir, Youth Club, Youth Fellowship, and Habitat for Humanity mission trips. His mother (Susan), father (Jon), brother (Ian), sister (Molly), and grandparents (Polly and Larry) are all members of WPC as well. A 2010 graduate of Virginia Tech, Drew now works in project development in the Energy Services Department at Seiberlich Trane (a commercial sales office for Trane U.S. Inc.) in New Castle. Drew lives in Wilmington and is excited about the opportunity to be involved with the 180° youth program in a leadership role.
