Kids' Notes

At Westminster, we make a variety of methods available for children to learn about worship. Kids' Notes is an effort to take elements from the worship services on Sunday and challenge readers (grades 2-6) to watch what is going on in the service and to think about how they are part of the worshipping Body of Christ.

We may give them a story to listen for when the Sermon is about to occur, or prepare them to listen to something that is going to occur during a song or hymn. We often provide puzzles and word games which focus on what they heard in the Scripture which is read in the service.

Our hope is to teach children how to take their own desire to be close to God and develop that closeness using the elements of the Sunday worship service. Simultaneously, Kids' Notes intends to be a tool for a parent or family member to use in educating children in the home during the weekdays.
