11:15 a.m. Acolytes

Beginning September 10, 2006, children in Grades 6, 7 and 8 have the opportunity to serve as acolytes at the 11:15 a.m. Sunday service. This will better connect them to the church as they serve God and actively participate in our worship services.

Each Sunday, two acolytes will process into the sanctuary at the beginning of the service. One acolyte will carry the Bible and one will carry a candle lighter to light candles at the front of the sanctuary. At the conclusion of the service, the acolytes will carry the Bible and light out of the sanctuary. Training is provided.

This is an excellent way for our children to have a leadership role in worship, a role they will remember for the rest of their lives. Please encourage your child to be involved in worship in this important way by having him or her attend an training session.
